Jesus is Worthy

Revelations 5:12 NIV

"In a loud voice they were saying: 'Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!'"

      From 1732 to 1799, George Washington served as the first president of the United States. Since then, the United States has seen forty-five more men serve our country as president. Currently, we reside under the authority of President Joseph Biden. And with each president that has come and gone, the scandal and rumors have seemed to follow, deeming such president, "unworthy," and even, "incompetent," in the eyes of the people. Now, do not take me for someone who is into politics because I'm not. I'm not here to spread rumors and discuss the latest US news headlines. But what I am here to tell you is this: While forty-six great men have stepped up to serve the United States-our "One Nation Under God"- as President, since the founding of the nation, not a single one of them has been deemed worthy the way Jesus has.

      You see, rulers come and go, kings will perish, and presidential terms will run out, but Jesus will reign forever; And rightfully so. There has never been, nor will there ever be, a king like our King. No ruler has ever stepped down from his thrown, lived among the least of his people, and died a gruesome, innocent death so that we could live! There's never been a king who has defeated death for us and holds the keys to hell, obtaining all authority to judge the living and the dead. Y'all Jesus is THE King. And while presidents, rulers, and kings may come and go-bringing scandal and headlines with them-our King is a Good King, and He is worthy of our praise because of the sacrifice He made for us. 

Jesus came, He died, He descended, and He ascended defeating death on our behalf. He is King. He is Lord. He is our Conqueror. He is WORTHY. Can I get a hallelujah? Can I get an Amen?
